Fontana Pendant Lamp

Designed by André Ricard in 1970, the Fontana Pendant Lamp is a sculptural expression of Space Age design. Its name pays homage to artist Lucio Fontana, whose radical cuts across the canvas introduced a new sense of depth and dimensionality to modern art.

Fontana’s distinctive half-sphere is interrupted by a precise horizontal opening that allows a soft peripheral glow to escape around the shade. Direct light is projected downwards through the translucent diffuser, while the illuminated slit creates a gentle indirect light that emphasises the lamp’s architectural silhouette.

The restrained White Grey finish, matte on the inside and glossy on the outside, gives the pendant a timeless presence suited to dining rooms, living spaces, entrance halls and refined commercial interiors.
