Noma

Inspired by the architectural simplicity of traditional Japanese wooden houses, the Noma Sofa by Cas Moor is defined by clean lines, balanced proportions and a light, elevated base. Its restrained expression reflects a sense of calm and simplicity, while an extensive modular system allows the design to be shaped around both the space and the way it is lived in.
A defining feature of Noma is the level of flexibility within each composition. Seating modules can be combined with slim or thick armrests, chaise longues and integrated table elements, allowing the sofa to move between compact arrangements and generous configurations with space for lounging, gathering and everyday living.

The seat and back frames are made from solid beech wood. The back is constructed with cold foam and wadding, while the seat combines zig-zag springs, felt, cold foam and wadding. A thin lining of down sits beneath the upholstery, and the individual modules are secured together using connecting metal brackets.

Different upholstery choices may naturally create slightly different expressions, and some fabrics may develop light wrinkling around the curved seating areas.
